JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the care, custody and control of inmates housed in the Boundary County Jail. Supervise inmates both within the facility and on work details outside the facility as required. Conduct security checks of inmates and facility as required by the Boundary County Jail Policy Manual. Dispense medications as directed by the jail physician. Maintain control of inmate property. In process (booking) and release of subjects housed in the jail. Must be able to maintain paperwork generated by this process and through the court system. This is a full-time position.
POSITION FUNCTIONS
1. Maintains security and control of inmates, observing all persons housed inside the jail facility at least
every 30 minutes.
2. Perform all intake and release functions, e.g. ascertain and document inmate's identity, vital statistics,
reason detained, physical and mental condition.
3. Search, fingerprint and photograph all inmates upon incarceration.
4. Inventory and store inmate personal property.
5. Make arrangements for medical care if necessary. Administer medical care as needed.
6. Classify inmates to determine housing location.
7. Provide communication to inmate's attorney, family and bail bondsman.
8. Issue blankets, jail clothing and hygiene items to inmates being housed.
9. Determine conditions that allow for release.
10. Implement work/school release and work search programs.
12. Arrange for in-house inmate programs such as religious service, AA & ALANON service, counseling, etc.
13. Deliver emergency messages to inmates regarding death in family, serious injury or illness of family
member, property loss, etc. Follow up with necessary assistance.
14. Perform Intoxylizer tests and urine drug screening.
15. Take fingerprints of non-inmates such as elimination prints, concealed weapons, child identification, child care, care of the elderly, immigration and naturalization, postal workers, etc.
16. Provide security supervision for service providers and delivery persons inside the security area, e.g.
electricians, plumbers, etc.
17. Produce and maintain documentation pertaining to jail related activities, events, conditions and needs;
e.g; daily jail logs, mail logs, incident reports, booking forms, property inventories, medical screening,
classification forms, etc.
18. Maintain peace and order in the jail; e.g.; positively manipulating inmate behavior with communication
skills and a professional demeanor.
19. Physically reorganize the population within the jail to manage conflicts or special-needs inmates,
and eliminate unnecessary causes of stress, such as weapons, intoxicants or unsafe living conditions.
20. Search inmate cells and cell areas when appropriate.
21. Isolate inmates exhibiting overly aggressive behavior from other inmates.
22. Physically restrain inmates when appropriate, requesting assistance from other officers when needed.
23. Document actions taken during an incident and act as disciplinary board member when needed.
24. Maintain the physical plant and equipment. Install new equipment inside and outside the security area,
and repair and clean equipment as needed.
25. Maintain account of inmate funds.
26. Distribute medications to inmates as prescribed by physician.
27. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Jail Commander, including but not limited to bailiff duty,
mental watch, juvenile watch, etc.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent. Able to complete P.O.S.T. Academy within one year from date of employment. Must be a U. S. Citizen in order to attend P.O.S.T. Academy. A working knowledge of computers. Able to qualify with firearms. Must be able to pass a physical fitness standards test. Must be 18 or over to apply.

Job Summary:
Operates and maintains a variety of types of heavy equipment used in the maintenance, repair and construction of the County Road and Bridge System, including class A trucks, graders, bulldozers, front end loaders, back hoes, dump trucks, crusher equipment, asphalt production and application equipment, snow removal equipment and sanding equipment.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of two years in a related field. Background in heavy equipment operation. Must maintain a valid Idaho Commercial Driver’s License Class A. Must be able to pass exams and acquire CDL endorsements "tanker" within six months of hire date.

Maintains and repairs light and heavy equipment owned by Boundary County, troubleshooting, diagnosing and determining the most effective and cost-efficient method of repair. Repairs drive train, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and all other systems. Installs electrical and electronic equipment, fabricates parts and assists in the construction of special tools and equipment. Basic computer skills & computerized diagnostic equipment.

THE FOLLOWING SKILLS ARE PREFERRED-NOT REQUIRED:
ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification combined with 2 years on the job training or 6 years verifiable experience with auto/ truck/ heavy equipment repair and welding/ machine/ metal fabrication experience. Specialized training in the field of heavy equipment maintenance and repair. Knowledge of open and closed hydraulic systems, including testing, repair and set up. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Idaho Commercial Driver's License Class A. JOB SUMMARY
Under limited supervision of the Chief Deputy, a Civil Deputy Specialist performs a wide variety of detailed and defined duties relating to the legal process and service of court documents according to Idaho law, including Writs of Executions (attachment of wages, bank accounts, personal property, real property, evictions, etc.) Warrants of Distraint, Protection Orders, Child Sheltering Orders, Civil Process, etc. Civil Deputy Specialists must be organized, practical and diligent with time management as each court document received has its own timeline/deadline for preparing, processing, serving, maintaining, and returning.
POSITION FUNCTIONS

1. Sworn in by Sheriff as a Special Deputy to perform duties as prescribed by Idaho Code. These duties include serving lobby.

2. All training is performed by current staff in the Civil Section.
3. Must be able to read, interpret, & process legal documents received from Idaho court & courts or agencies from other states.

closely with Commissioned Deputies. Conveys information regarding direction, urgency, cancellation, etc. of court documents.

professional public’s inquiries by replying to vaguely defined questions, receiving & resolving complaints, & explaining
services, policies, procedures & schedules.
14. Have the ability to make professional phone calls and/or send emails to employers, banks, and defendants regarding
debt collection for executions and Warrants of Distraint.
15. Enters data in all software programs and multiple live computer programs used by the Sheriff’s office on a daily basis.
Audits and verifies information entered into the database.
16. Performs effectively and efficiently in stressful or emergency situations. Good communication skills and professionalism
are necessary when serving documents, working with the public or other professional offices, and while providing customer
service in person, via email or over the phone.
17. Capable of working with and coordinating with multiple departments or agencies within Boundary County and outside
the county or state, including; Court offices, Prosecutor’s office, Public Defender’s office, Auditor’s office, Treasurer’s office,
Bailiff’s office, County Assistance office, BOCC, Idaho State Industrial
18. Seeks guidance from the Sheriff’s Office Civil Attorney for any questions, problems, obstacles relating to procedure
legalities that arise, due to the high level of liability bestowed upon the Civil Section.
19. Maintains a positive, helpful, constructive attitude and working relationship with the department supervisor &
departmental employees, other County employees, Elected Officials, & the public. Ability to use tact, discretion, & courtesy
in interdepartmental, external agency, & public contacts, & to properly handle highly sensitive & confidential information
in a professional manner.
20. Evidence Custodian-The civil deputy functions as evidence custodian for the agency.
This requires intake of all evidence submitted by deputies after being seized in the field. Such evidence is logged in by the
handling road deputy/detective, entered into the agency computer systems, and physically stored in evidence lockers.
The civil deputy transfers the evidence to a secure evidence vault and processes a record of the evidence transfer
(chain-of-custody) into the agency computer systems as well as generating a hard-copy file. Evidence is stored depending on
type or may be immediately processed out for testing to any one of several state labs or labs elsewhere in the country.
Items processed by the Evidence Custodian also include all found property as well as property kept for safekeeping.
The evidence custodian is responsible for making sure the chain of custody is maintained on evidentiary items, that evidence
is processed and stored safely and correctly, and that all materials in evidence are eventually: (1) returned to the proper party,
(2) converted for agency use, (3) destroyed, or (4) stored for set periods or indefinitely.
21. Records Custodian-As records custodian for the sheriff’s office, the civil deputy handles multiple records requests daily.
By policy, regardless of the source, all requests must be in writing and handled only by the civil deputy as records custodian.
Although the records custodian must be completely conversant with the requirements of Idaho’s Public Records Act,
problematic issues as to whether certain records are exempt from disclosure or should be released, in whole or in part,
are reviewed by civil counsel for the sheriff’s office. By law, responses to a records request must be provided within ten (10)
business days of receipt (with some exceptions). Records request responses, whether they result in the release of records
or not, are drafted by the records custodian. Records include written, computerized, digital, audio, video (body cam
/ Building or jail security) all of which must be reviewed for redactions as mandated by Idaho Code or agency policy.
22. Abandoned / Towed Vehicles
The civil deputy is responsible for the processing of all abandoned/towed vehicles, and at times vehicles impounded as
stolen or as evidence. State law sets specific requirements and time limits for the processing of towed vehicles,
with the costs associated with the tow & storage of a vehicle to be borne by the sheriff’s office if it is established at a hearing
that all Idaho Code requirements for tow and storage were not met. The civil deputy reviews all tow paperwork, and prepares
all follow-up forms that must be mailed or served upon all interested parties while a vehicle is in storage. The Civil Deputy
also does all related vehicle inspections, and processes all certificates of title or other documents associated with
disposition of any towed vehicle.
Registered owners of a towed vehicle or any other third party entitled under state law may request a hearing to contest
probable cause for an agency directed tow/storage. The civil deputy is responsible for scheduling such hearing, presiding as
hearing officer, taking testimony, and issuing a written determination or ruling. If a vehicle is valued in excess of $750.00 &
remains unclaimed for a certain length of time while in storage after towing, the civil deputy is responsible for the auction
and sale of said vehicle, including drafting of all follow-up paperwork.

Other Qualifications: Must successfully pass the County's pre-employment and subsequent random drug testing and stringent
Sheriff’s Department background and selection process to include: Oral Board and Polygraph Examination.

Job Summary
Performs a variety of clerical and technical duties related to licensing drivers as required by the State of Idaho, including processing and issuing drivers licenses, commercial drivers licenses, Class D licenses and instruction permits. Processes and issues concealed weapons permits, conducts VIN checks, and registers sex offenders. Performs duties of civil deputy as required.
Duties Include:
1. Administers written tests and optical examination required for issuance of regular drivers licenses, motorcycle endorsements, identification cards and instruction permits.
2. Administers written exam for commercial drivers licenses, including separate tests required for various endorsements.
3. Collects established fees for administering examinations, makes daily bank deposits and maintains record of monies received.
4. Submits daily reports by mail to Idaho Department of Motor Vehicles.
5. Prepares month-end reports to Boundary County Commissioners and disburses monies received to County Treasurer.
6. Performs vehicle identification number checks to assist in the registration of motor vehicles.
7. Processes applications for concealed weapons permits, including processing and verifying fingerprint cards required for the application and issues concealed weapons permits upon approval. Collects and disburses fees for concealed weapons permit applications.

JOB SUMMARY
Must be compassionate and dedicated to providing excellent resident care. Supporting our residents in maintaining their day-to-day abilities while encouraging independence and confidence. Maintains a current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Idaho. Performs nursing type duties within the guidelines of the Board of nursing Rules and IDAPA Rules for Assisted Living. The registered nurse is responsible for assuring that each resident is assessed according to the rules and regulations for assisted living facilities, delegation to UAP’s per the Board of Nursing. Registered Nurse will determine the health status of each resident and make recommendations to the Administrator as to their healthcare needs. Must be able to respond to changes in resident’s healthcare needs. Monitor each resident’s medications and assure that each resident’s medications are in accordance with the IDAPA rules and the Board of Nursing Rules. Must be reachable at all times. POSITION FUNCTIONS
1. Promote and maintain Resident’s Rights.
2. Conduct Pre admission assessments per state guidelines within 14 days of admission of a new resident.
3. Develop an Interim Plan of Care at time of admission of a new resident as well as assist in developing
residents service plans within 14 days of admission, annually, and when there is a change of condition.
4. Conduct a Nursing assessment every 90 days and/or when there is a change in condition.
5. Communicate with the Administrator regarding any medication needs or other health care needs
requiring a follow up as well as follow up on previous recommendations.
6. Assist in developing and monitoring behavior plans.
7. Psychotropic medication reviews every 90 days for all residents on psychotropic medications.
8. Ensure that the least restrictive interventions are in place and review for possible medication
reductions by their primary physician when appropriate every 6 months
9. Review medications for possible side effects, interactions with other medications, abuse or other
adverse effects.
10. Monitor resident’s that are capable of self- medicating monthly to assure the resident is still capable of
performing the task.
11. Delegate according to the Board of Nursing Rules 23.01.01 to unlicensed assistive personnel,
medication coordinator and bath aid to perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include
dispensing medications if the unlicensed assistive personnel have a current certificate through the state of
Idaho which enables them to assist with medications. Delegation to Medication certified staff must be
approved by the Administrator prior to the delegation.
12. Supervise and educate staff when changes in care or to guide in follow through of care plans.
13. Routinely promote proper technique to staff and training for infection control.
14. May perform other duties as assigned or as additional needs develop.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Extensive knowledge of the Board of Nursing Rules 23.01.01. At least 2 years of experience working with the elderly. Must demonstrate effective communication skills and work effectively with the elderly, their families, physicians, pharmacy, UAP’s and the Administrator. Must have knowledge of common medications and be able to identify possible adverse reactions and be prompt with an appropriate response. Experience with behavior management plans is recommended. Computer experience is essential.
TYPICALLY WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to work with minimal supervision, possess strong communication skills, and the ability to lead a group of people in completing tasks. Understand and apply the assisted living rules and regulations and/or is willing/capable to learn. High degree of performance and accuracy required to ensure the health and safety of the Boundary County Community Restorium residents. Must be able to work well with others and communicate effectively with staff and residents. May be exposed to infectious waste or communicable disease. Job Duties:
1. Monitors and directs incoming vehicles to designated dumping areas.
2. Examines cargo to prohibit disposal of caustic waste, according to government regulations. Inspects to maintain that the waste being
brought in is not hazardous to people or equipment.
3. Monitor and visually inspect incoming vehicles to insure only appropriate materials are being disposed of at site.
4. Maintain cleanliness of dump site area - i.e. Clean garbage around bins, clean snow around recycle bins and maintain general
cleanliness of area within public view.
5. Perform waste stream studies - i.e. monitor license plates and/or numbers.
6. Performs general labor and duties as assigned.
